Bromley’s new state-of-the-art Health and Wellbeing Centre will include a GP surgery and bring a range of healthcare services to the heart of the town centre.
This welcome news will improve local health facilities and illustrates the successful partnership between the council and NHS and follows the official signing of the lease agreement last year. Bromley’s new Health and Wellbeing Centre is a central feature of the wider strategy for the new Civic Centre site at Churchill Court which will become a focal point for local services.
The Leader of the Council and of Bromley Conservatives, Colin Smith, said:
“Having recently completed negotiations with our health partners I am absolutely delighted to be able to report that works are now underway and moving at pace to deliver upon our promise to provide a brand new state of the art health and wellbeing centre besides the new Civic Centre at Bromley South for local residents.
While the council will now focus on completing the necessary building works to get the centre up and running at the earliest possible opportunity, could I encourage anybody with an interest in related matters to engage with our health partners and provide feedback on their plans for the new site, as we continue to work together to deliver upon our ‘One Bromley’ vision for the Bromley’s residents moving to the future.”
Interested residents are being invited to an engagement event on Wednesday 22 January, being held in Widmore Road at Bromley United Reformed Church, from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Details about the new Health and Wellbeing Centre will be available, with residents able to come along, ask questions, share feedback and learn more.
The new Health and Wellbeing Centre is being designed to provide accessible, efficient and integrated health care, with spacious consulting and treatment rooms. With its complete refurbishment, the centre will offer a modern and welcoming environment, tailored to meet a range of health needs. By using energy efficient LED lighting and modern heating, the centre is also designed to be an environmentally friendly space, focused on health, comfort and wellbeing. The Dysart GP Surgery from Ravensbourne Road will move to the new centre, bringing GP services closer to more residents and providing care in a modern and accessible setting.
